DC - Double Crochet
Sc2Tog - Single Crochet Two Together
* Insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop (two loops on hook) - insert hook into next stitch and draw up a loop (three loops on hook) - yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on hook.
Dc2Tog - Double Crochet Two Together
***note: there's a few ways to do this, instructions are for the one I used in this pattern***
*Yarn over, insert hook into first stitch and yarn over again then draw up loop (3 loops on hook) - yarn over and pull through two loops - yarn over and pull up loop in next stitch (4 loops on hook) - yarn over and pull through first two loops - yarn over and pull through remaining three loops on hook.

BASKET
With main color chain 2.Rnd 1: 6 sc in first chain stitch. Place a marker in the first stitch of this round and move marker up as you complete each round
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each stitch around– 12 sts at end of row.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around – 18 sts.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around – 24 sts.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around – 30 sts.
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around – 36 sts.
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around – 42 sts.
Rnd 8: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around – 48 sts.

Rnd 1: 4 sc in first chain stitch. Place a marker in the fitst stitch of this round and move marker up as you complete each round.
Rnd 2: Sc in each st around – 4 sts.Rnd 3: Work 2 sc in each stitch around - 8 sts.
Rnd 4: Sc in each st around
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in next stitch, repeat from* around - 12 sts.
Rnd 6: Sc in each stitch around
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around – 16 sts.
Rnds 8-24: Sc in each stitch around
Rnd 25: Sc2tog around - 8 sts.
Attach Button Nose
Use accent color to embroider eyes and mouth onto front of basket
Attach ears to front sides of basket - I placed the ears on the inside of the basket and down 3 lines of stitching to give the ears more stability.
